Avery Point Campus

UConn’s Avery Point campus is a center of excellence for marine and maritime studies. In addition to offering a range of introductory and advanced courses, we provide four-year degree programs in coastal studies, maritime studies and American studies.

The Avery Point campus overlooks Long Island Sound. Students enjoy numerous opportunities for undergraduate research, fieldwork and internships with the many maritime- and marine-related institutions that are located near the campus.

Students enrolled at the Avery Point campus may also complete the first two years of study that are required for most of the more than 100 undergraduate academic majors that UConn offers.  Later, when you have earned these core curriculum course credits, you can transition to the Storrs campus to complete your bachelor’s degree.

Visit the Avery Point campus website for more information on education opportunities
